Goutweed is an invasive specie that is often planted as a groundcover. Once it is established it is very difficult to control because it spreads quickly and easily. Goutweed can be multi-colored with serrated edges or solid green with serrated edges. Goutweed often competes with native species for places to grow, and because it grows in dense clusters it compromises biodiversity of the area. Goutweed is present on the Riverstone property in several places, we are working to remove it.
