Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources

One of the largest sources of pollution and greenhouse gases is energy production. Annually, Ontarians use 11,221 kWh per household. A lot of this energy is wasted through inefficiencies in house design, which puts a lot of stress on our electrical grid. Through more efficient house design and on-site renewable energy sources, it will become increasingly simple for Ontarians to reduce the amount of energy they use from the grid. There is a lot of room for improvement however, and the Government of Ontario has recognized this as well. Many of the technologies listed on this website have rebates and subsidies provided by the Green Ontario Fund.
