Spring has FINALLY arrived in Muskoka and as the floodwaters settle, we are all looking forward to the start of buds breaking and wildflowers popping! The Corner Garden is already in action, with native wildflowers re-emerging and the tree species beginning to bloom.
Already blooming are the Bloodroot flowers (Sanguinaria Canadensis), Hobble Bush (Viburnum lantanoides) and our early garden cleanup is complete. We can’t wait to see what will emerge next! Just today we had a daycare group wander through the garden and investigate the small buds on branches, the insects starting to inhabit the garden, the flowers that are beginning to bloom, and the little garden creatures hiding along the paths!
If you’re looking to do some native plant gardening of your own, be sure to stop by the Corner Garden to be inspired!
